Pretty cool, but I take issue with the Coffee (for me Tea) cup analogy.
See, I don’t agree that the cup adds nothing to the enjoyment of the tea.
In the right circumstances, the cup can be a very pleasant but non-oral aesthetic which adds to the overall personal experience of the Tea-Time. Not because you can say I’ve got Good China or My China is Better than Theirs, but because the nice china for its own sake feels ‘good’ as an enhanced sense of civility, or perhaps better, formality.
So much for the coffee cup analogy. ;).
Love,
---Dave.

Hi Mom,
I bought another picture for my apt. This one is a simple modest landscape I saw in Walmart the other day. I liked it well enough, thought of a place it belonged, and it was on sale for about $12, so I bought it. It's not spectacular, but the photos don't quite capture its pleasure.
Talk to you later.
Love,
---Dave.

Dear David,
What a lovely picture - so calming and peaceful....It reminds me of the time when you were about four years old and I asked you what you want to be when you grew up...
David:" I want to be a painter!"
Mom: "Why a painter?"
D: " I want to paint the world!"
M: "Why the world?"
D: "Because it is so beautiful!"
WOW, out of the mouth of babes... In case you ever find some little extra time, you ought to try yourself in a bit of art lessons, you might love it...
LOL, MOM

Hi Lisa
thought it was my turn to send a picture or two.. these are the grandkids!
Andrea and I are off to Hungary and Rumania on business in a few days. We're hoping to stop off near to where Joe came from - Brasov? I wonder if we'll be able to do any tracing of family while we're there.
Hope you're extremely well.
Love to all

Dearest Ariane and Walter,
We just returned from Ft.Lauderdale, had a great time and are now enjoying a visit from my son, David. We will try and call you this afternoon to say "Hi" - hope all is well with you ...we are playing this attached precious CD, remembering Simon and my Halcyon days...
Lots of Love, LISA
