Thanks for letting me know about this Big Event (100 years of Ft.Lauderdale and its pioneers") . How touching that you asked me to add Simon to your list of honorees and that so many remember this outstanding, wonderful man. You certainly have my complete backing! It would be so right and proper to include Simon Ruden, my late husband and the Founder of the law firm (Ruden McClosky et al) in your program. He was a magnificent person, a true "Mensch", as we call a very special, compassionate, caring Human Being in Yiddish, and helped shaping and building his city by being a trustworthy, brilliant Counselor for many. He was taken from our planet much too early and his spirit still lives on in so many hearts and minds;, as you mentioned in your note.
Unfortunately, I am presently dealing with multiple, medical problems, caused by an unfortunate fall after celebrating my 90th birthday last year and won't be able to attend the so worthy celebration , honoring our Pioneers! My thoughts, my heart and my spirit however will be right there with you all!
